Lagos, Nigeria, August 26, 2024

CashAfrica, a leading provider of contactless payment infrastructure, is proud to announce a partnership with Supplya to enable 1,000 point-of-sale (POS) machines to collect contactless payments across Nigeria. The partnership aims to bolster the financial ecosystem by providing retailers with access to CashTap, CashAfrica's 1-second secure contactless payment solution designed to make payments easier and reliable for customers and collection easier for merchants.

Supplya is well known for its stellar work in defragmenting the commerce value chain in Africa. Facilitating billions in trade by granting retailers direct access to manufacturers and the most essential services to accelerate access to commerce. CashAfrica is glad to partner with such a forward and innovative company

The rollout will be conducted in stages to bring this to many much-needed businesses. The focus on secure transactions will help build trust among retailers and consumers, which is essential for driving broader adoption of digital payments in the region.

Commenting on the partnership, Malik Asamu, Co-Founder and CEO of CashAfrica, stated: "Security is at the heart of what we do at CashAfrica. By partnering with Supplya, we are providing a secure, superfast and reliable payment solution that will protect our retailers and their customers, fostering trust in the digital payment system. Our goal is to create a fast, reliable and inclusive financial environment for all."

This initiative includes a comprehensive Know Your Business (KYB) process to verify the legitimacy of participating retailers. Following successful verification, retailers will receive guidance on how to maximize the benefits of their new POS systems while adhering to strict security protocols.
